Considering that, according to early Christians, Sunday is considered to be the first and ‘eighth’ day of the week, I shall dissect my week beginning with Sunday.
So, Sunday the 10th of July. Shit went down. Ha, no I’m kidding. But I did get to hang out with Maddie for most of the first half of my day, as she was to leave for NZ the next day. We went down to Majors for a late breakfast/early lunch (not exactly brunch) and coffee (translation: tea for her and hot chocolate for me), followed by a browse through Blockbuster and then I walked her home (serious DNMing went down during that walk). My dad came to pick me up and then I spent the rest of my day watching movies and tricking my mind into thinking I was studying. Oh, and Khleo’s new music video came out and I was pretty much stoked for it.
Monday the 11th of July. I seriously cannot remember what I did on Monday. Pretty sure I slept in till 3 p.m. Oh, and I remember Facebook chatting with Fiona about F.R.I.E.N.D.S., so that must’ve been the night I spent hours YouTubing F.R.I.E.N.D.S. clips and eating marshmallows.
Tuesday the 12th of July. Demi Lovato’s new single, Skyscraper, came out and I remember crying for a good solid twenty minutes after first hearing it - I will forever be proud of that woman. I then counted down till Deathly Hallows Part 2, but I wasn’t allowed to go to the midnight screening even though I could have, and tetris-played my way into the first hour of Wednesday. I then fell asleep with Skyscraper on repeat.
Wednesday the 13th of July. Today. I woke up pretty damn well early with the Skyscraper lyrics stuck in my head (but to be honest, I don’t mind at all). I checked Facebook, only to find out that Kevin Jonas was holding a live web chat. So, uh… I kinda ran (leaped) to my laptop and then, out of nowhere (actually, from his bachelor pad behind the sofa), Josh Peck came out and graced me with his presence. And then I soon discovered that Kevin Jonas, Michael Deleasa and Josh Peck were all weird just like me and that we had to become like besties or something. OH. OH. OH. AND SOMEBODY ASKED JOSH PECK IF HE MISSES OPRAH (NOW THAT HER SHOW HAS ENDED). I WAS CRYING AND TRYING TO REGAIN MY BREATH BECAUSE I WAS LAUGHING SO HARD. THAT PERSON IS A L E G E N D. (If you don’t get it, I don’t know you… I just don’t. Don’t even-) I then attempted to explain it to my mother when she woke up, and tried to get her hooked on Drake and Josh, but, uh, it kinda failed. My mummy and I then went op shopping and I ended up purchasing a bag full of books for $2 and Thirsty Merc’s Slideshows for 50c. (My mum kind of had to restrain me from the vinyls, reminding me that I had an already large enough collection and no record player. Yeah, uh… thanks, mum.) We got back, Rachel was still asleep, so we (maybe I should mention right now that my mother took the day off work) grabbed my brother and then went to pick up his friend so we could feast on Lebanese pizzas and kebabs. Got back, gave Skyscraper a couple more listens, went supermarket crawling (Okay, do you know what pub crawling is? Well, my mum and I always do the supermarket equivalent. I know: weird. Whatever.) with mum, got back, BBQ at my fully sick grandparents’ house, laughed a lot, started reading Bill Cosby’s Time Flies in the car (‘cause you know, I always love finding random and dark places to read my books, yo), caught the end of Bring It On, and now I’m here. Listening to Skyscraper.
Thursday the 14th of July. I need some closure. Hopefully I get it.
So yeah, even though I wasn’t allowed to catch the midnight screening of Deathly Hallows Part 2, my week has turned out kinda awesome… and we’re just halfway through it! Booyah!
